Your ACT takes up residence in Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum

January 1, 2017

This month, Your ACT has taken up residency in the Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum in order to establish a youth theatre/ education department.

Each week, Your ACT will offer a series of free programing from free workshops to various theatrical and technical demonstrations.

Starting in February, Your ACT will offer a series of classes for ages 6-18. One class will double as the Youth Theatre production for the Spring.

"My ACT"

During each class, the students will learn performance skills in a fun and educational way while also rehearsing for a show! At the end of the session, the students will put on “Willy Wonka the Musical” for an audience.

This year’s youth theatre production will be a part of the My ACT class. Students will not only learn important performance skills but also rehearse for the hit musical “Willy Wonka”. This class/performance opportunity is designed to offer a full hands on approach to a full-scale musical. Each student will not only STAR onstage in a full production, but will also contribute to the direction, choreography, set, lighting and costume design of the production.
